The geo-positioning to within a few meters of precision is no longer a novelty and many applications are already operational. Nevertheless, several other applications can be envisaged with the condition of having access to higher precision measurements. This is the case of light-intensity cartography for a city concerned about energy economy as well as the quality of life it offers to its inhabitants. The TracEdge solution, in connection with a Geographical Information System, addresses this type of needs.
Building on the design of the TSP20B and to answer to the European Normalisation EN 13 201 (Norme EN 13 201), TracEdge has developed the TSP-Lux which synchronizes the light-intensity measurements to GPS signals in order to provide a detailed cartography of public lighting.
